Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on 28th March 2026, aged 78, at Te Hopai Rest Home and Hospital. May his lifelong passion for books, music, walking and adventure inspire and live on through those who he loved deeply and who loved him deeply in return. Treasured son of the late Demostenes and Geta. Former husband and lifelong friend of Joyce. Cherished father and father-in-law of Nick, Natalie, Daria, Tahl and Amanda, Lisa, and Sheryl and Dion. Beloved big brother and brother-in-law of Lucy and Knorriey, and Sylvia and Tony. Adored grandfather of Alex, Angelina, Tyler, Nikau, Jesse, Asher and Evie. Loved uncle of Andrew, Daniel, Leanne, and Alethea. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nick's memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A special thanks and acknowledgement to all the staff, nurses and caregivers at Te Hopai for their wonderful care of Nick and their eternal kindness to his family.
