Yvonne was our neighbour for twenty two years. To her delight, she was thought of as the Matriarch of the Grove and she never missed a get together of the Grove. She was a true lady, she spoke her mind but, she was always fair.
We all know Frank although we never met him because she carried him with her and spoke of him at every opportunity. Yvonne had a lovely sense of humour and never complained about anything in her personal life "It is what it is" she would say. The love and pride for her family was evident as they were always front and centre of her life and she never missed an opportunity to let us all know this.
We are lucky to have great neighbours and Yvonne encouraged us all to be so. She liked things to be orderly even telling new neighbours in the Grove that that their bins should not be visible at the front door. The neighbours did not take offence and were the first to offer to mow her lawns when she was distressed about them during Covid when her lawn man could not come.
Life will go on in the Grove but, we will always remember Yvonne and of course Frank. Rest in Peace Yvonne together with Frank

We are very sad to learn that Yvonne has died. We first met Yvonne when we moved to the best little grove in Waikanae & became her neighbour. We quickly became firm friends, Saturday mornings at the market, press-ganged into joining the cycling group & having numerous trips around NZ. Always a lady, her nickname was 'The Duchess' (due to the regal way she cycled!) She was great company & we shared in her highs & lows. We will miss her greatly & it was so good to see her briefly on 3rd February last. RIP with Frank.
