Wesley Marden, Jr. Obituary

Wesley H. Marden, Jr., 91, born January 1, 1934 in Waterville, Maine to Wesley and Mildred Marden, Sr., passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Cecelia (Cissy) Marden of Camden, AR; and his children, Elizabeth Marden-Wheaton (Eric) of Gig Harbor, WA, Susannah Mackey (Howard) of Gold Bar, WA, Wesley Marden III of Snohomish, WA, Thomas Marden (Michele) of Erwinna, PA, Adam Marden of Baltimore, MD; (9) grandchildren; and (5) great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Loki.  Wes loved his family.

A graduate of the University of Washington, a U.S. Marine, he worked as a contract manager/negotiator at several aerospace corporations.  He was the Chairman of the Camden Airport Commission for (19) years where he pursued improvements to the airport and fulfilled his lifetime love of aviation.

In the last (15) years of his life, he picked up his trumpet again and relearned his high school instrument.  He enjoyed attending the New England Adult Music Camp every summer and played in the symphonic band.

Our condolenses to Cissy and everyone in the immediate and extended Marden family. I hadn't seen Uncle Wes recently, though we did chat regularly when he was checking in on his "little sister, Mary. Megan, Finely and I fondly remember the Jazz cruise he hosted on Puget Sound. I think that might have been the last time the majority of the Mardens and Morgans where all together. I wish everyone comfort and peace at this time.

Cissy and family, so sorry to hear about Wes passing. My mentor and boss for many years in defense. Will miss his visits. Remembering the General Dynamic days. Then there was Hughes and Amfuel. We did a lot of estimates and negations on proposals. Many good working memories.
