Betty Goff, age 91, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025. She was born September 7, 1933, in Appleton, Minnesota, the daughter of Albert and Agnes (Mazurek) Wiese. Betty grew up on the family farm near Correll, Minnesota and graduated from Appleton High School. On December 31, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Goff in Milbank, South Dakota.
Over the years, Betty was active in the Owatonna United Methodist Church and Girl Scouts. She was a childcare provider, housekeeper and small business owner/manager with her husband, Bob. She was a fabulous cook and baker, an avid gardener, and a lifelong collector of teacups, cookie jars, costume jewelry and dolls.
Survivors include her children, Lynda (Lowell) Holland, Douglas (Mary) Goff, Liza (Duane) DeBoer and Daniel Goff; six grandchildren, Miranda Camery, Casey Goff, Nicole Holland, Megan Lynch, Emily Holland, and Tricia Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Yvonne Wiese, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Ken Piepho, and sister-in-law, Jeanette Goff. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Agnes Wiese; husband, Bob Goff; brother, Bob Wiese; sister, Bev Mrozek; brother-in-law, Jim Mrozek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Margaret Goff; brothers-in-law, Darrel Goff and Gene Goff; sister-in-law, June Goff; and granddaughter-in-law, Angelica Goff.
A Celebration of Life service for Betty will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. The visitation will take place one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Interment will be in First Lutheran Cemetery, rural Blooming Prairie. Memorials can be directed to the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen (breast cancer foundation). Services are prearranged and performed with Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie.
