BAKER,Mervyn Keith (Merv):
B84595 R.N.Z.A.F Flt Sgt HCM. On October 31, 2022 peacefully and surrounded by his beloved family, after a very short and unexpected illness. Flowers respectfully declined, however donations in Merv's name to the Cancer Society can be made at his service. The family wish to thank the staff of Anthony Wilding Retirement Village whose support and care was greatly appreciated. Messages to the Baker family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch 8443. A Memorial Service for Merv will be held in St Mark's Chapel, 14a Henry Wigram Drive, Wigram, on Friday, November 18, at 2.00pm.

What a great send off for a great guy, friend and workmate, Merv. To Pat and all the family congratulations for everything you all have packed into your lives. To anyone who assisted in organizing Merv's service, congratulation also, for making it a remarkable event.

Well Merv, when I look at the gap of when you were born and your passing journey, I am amazed at just how much you packed into life. You married a fun, lovely lady, Pat, and had two older children, Ross then Penny, then comes mischievous twin sons, Michael & Stephen. This family kept you and Pat on your toes. Then to survive a Helicopter Accident too. I met you all in Singapore, great trip. Must admit I was stunned to hear of this last chapter in your life and know that you are safe and pain free now. RIP Merv. Love and hugs to you Pat, Ross, Penny, Michael, Stephen and families. xxx
