Suddenly on Thursday, March 24, 2023 in Temuka. Special friend and dearest dad of Rachel Martin, grandad of Logan, Joel, Alister, Milly, Courtney, Petra and their partners. And great-grandad. Loved by his canine mates and sock thieves. Long time special mate of Graham Williams of Temuka. A service to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at Hui Te Rangiora Church, Apes Road, Karitane at 1.00pm on Thursday, April 6, followed by interment in Hui Te Rangiora Urupa.

Wayne is my uncle, he and my mother Ranui Parata are first cousins. I knew Wayne growing up but lost touch as an adult. His smile was huge and so was his embrace. Il never forget his hot cars either haha. I'm so happy you came to rest with our loved ones and back home where you were always meant to be. Hugest hugs and love to Vanessa and Laurie and all the whanau.

I am so shocked to read this. Wayne and I go back to when we were 17, and we were only just talking on the phone a couple of weeks ago, and sharing laughs. He said he was due to return to Perth on the Saturday and would be in touch. I cannot express how sorry I am to read this.
My sincere condolences to Vanessa and family. May Wayne rest in peace. xxx Liz.
