Dave,

I had been trying to get in touch with you for the past couple of weeks, I decided to google your name ... and ... oh my god.

I will always remember the fun times we had over the past decade or so. Most recently hanging out at opal Hit Springs. Having a laugh, and being silly buggers.

You were one of my closest and trusted friends ... you always will be.

I will miss you buddy. More than you know.

I will personally be planting a pohutukawa tree for you, my favourite for its roots, branches, bark that take a beating from the ocean but still hold strong, to its bright and outstanding blossoms that make me smile every time I see them.

Reminding me of you. I will never forget you.

Dave, I hold fond memories of us going out many years ago, you passionately fixing my Ford Anglia and our recent chats at the supermarket. Gone too soon. Rest in peace x.

My heartfelt condolences to you Fran and Lonee . I have fond memories of our times at Lake Ngaroto and many sailing trips away. I lost contact with David after school but would randomly bump into him, like the time fitting out a boat at Auckland Marina and there was Dave at the same time during the Americas Cup.
