Jonathan BARNES Obituary
On Monday, 28th April 2025, peacefully and surrounded by his family at Nurse Maude Hospice in Merivale, Christchurch, aged 68. Beloved husband of Karen for 49 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Sam, Adam and Raisa, Tim, and Alexandra, loved poppa of Sampo, Niilo, Toivo, and Stanley, loved brother and brother-in-law of Phil and Yvonne.
Words cannot express our grief and the road ahead will be difficult without you to guide our way.
Thanks to the staff at Nurse Maude Hospice and all those who assisted Jonty and our family in his final days. As per Jonty's request, there will be no formal funeral service. A private cremation has taken place.

So sorry to hear of John's passing, I still miss our chats - many that were supposed to be our marketing 1-1's but ending up being about world news and almost any other topic. Regards to Karen and all the family. He will remain in our memories x

So sad that John has passed away,I have good memories of his time at meadow mushrooms and the chats we had.thinking of you all,he always sounded like a fun granddad.
