Joy GEMMELL Obituary

On January 1st, 2025, Joy Gemmell passed away unexpectedly at Waikato Hospital. A beloved mother to Mark and Julie, mother-in-law to Denise and Matt, sister to Mike and a devoted Nana to Sarah, Ashley and Sam, along with their partners and children. May she rest in peace with her treasured husband Tony.

Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.

A service for Joy to celebrate her life, will be held on 9th January 2025, 1.30pm, at Seddon Park Funeral Home, 49 Seddon Road, Frankton, Hamilton. All communications please to Seddon Park Funeral Home Ltd, PO Box 5523, Frankton, Hamilton 3242.

My condolences to the Gemmell whanau. While I did not know JOY, I knew her late husband Tony. He is a first cousin to my late brother-in-law, Bill Adsett, of Raupunga, Northern Hawke´s Bay, whose mother was Kuini Gemmell. They are of the Pahau wera hapu of Ngati Kahungunu. Haere atu ra e te whaea, hoa rangatira hoki. Moe mai, okioki ai.
