Jimmy Ray Bonds

Jimmy Ray Bonds of Vian, age 80, passed this life peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025. Jimmy was born June 5, 1945 in Fort Smith, Ark., to Shirley Mae (Cook) Bonds and George Lewis Bonds.
He was a graduate of Roland High School where he loved playing basketball. He attended IBEW apprentice school and was a Union electrician working in Fort Smith and surrounding areas. He also earned his Associate Degree attending Carl Albert State College and OSU. He was co-owner of Bi-State Electric becoming an Oklahoma State Electrical Inspector in 1982. In 2000, he became President of IAEI (International Association of Electrical Inspectors) where he traveled the United States and Canada. He retired as Supervising Inspector for the state in 2006.
Jimmy spent his retirement at Lake Tenkiller boating, golfing and mowing (he loved mowing). He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Muldrow and Sallisaw.
He is survived by his loving wife Jamie of 22 years; a son, Jeffrey Ray Bonds of Muldrow; a brother, Mike Bonds of Liberty; a sister, Judy Tate of Muldrow; two bonus children, Ryan Monroe and wife, Shari of Seminole and Ashley Watts of Sallisaw; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, a son, Jason Randall Bonds and a sister, Barbara Fletcher.
A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date.
