On 8 December 2025 was promoted to glory, at home with family by his side, aged 74. Dearly loved husband of Claire for 50 years. Much loved father and father-in-law of Chris and Kerri, Angie and Mike. Loved Poppa to Logan and Alyssa. Beloved brother of Peter.

A Service to celebrate Simon's life will be held at the Hamilton City Salvation Army, 99 London Street, Hamilton, on Friday 12 December at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. All communications to the Hurricks Family, C/- PO Box 147, Huntly 3740.
