To Liz Burton and Family.
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. It makes the fact that he wasn't home a few weeks ago when I called in to see him all the more upsetting for me. I will never forget the 1960's when Bob and Graham helped me survive these great years. I remember the day I bought my Mark 1 Zephyr- the first thing Bob and I did was take it back to Maber Motors after hours and remove the perfectly good Ford Muffler and replace it with a Ferguson Tractor muffler-Why? because it made a better noise! The cackle could be heard 2 blocks away! Rest in Peace my friend, and have a Beer ready for when we meet again.

So very sorry to hear of Bob´s passing. My memories go back to the day the Burton family arrived in Morrinsville from Blenheim. As long as I live I will always have a reminder of Bob as I, as an initiation to the hollowed classes of Morrinsville College, flicked Bob with ink. Retaliation was swift, Bob threw a pen at me which hit my foot and to this day I still have the ink spot tattooed on my foot.
I know, through my connections in Blenheim of the skylarks the Burton Boys got up to. At Thunder Lucas´s funeral the Davis boys mentioned the time Bob was locked into the Coker and Mills icecream factories freezer when a group of them tried to raid the factory. Must be many, of the like, stories that happened in Morrinsville. Sadly I missed them as I left the metropolis of Morrinsville after leaving school.
My sincere condolences to all of Bob´s family.
