Alejandro "Sonny" Bueno, aged 69, passed away on September 30, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Born on June 3, 1955, in Fort Stockton, Texas, Sonny graduated Valedictorian from Ector High School in 1974 before embarking on a lifelong career as a glazer at Acorn Glass.
Sonny was cherished for his wit, meekness, and non-judgmental nature, qualities that endeared him to many. An artist at heart, he also found joy in fishing, welding, and cooking, often surrounded by friends and family. His commitment to his faith was evident in his active participation at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Vicki Bueno; son, Jeremy Bueno; grandsons, Devin Skelton and his wife Kim, and Adan Hernandez, Jr.; brother, Jimmy Bueno, Sr. and his wife Jan; sister, Isabel Chavez and her husband Julian; brothers-in-law, Roger Greeson and his wife Debbie, and Tim Greeson and his wife Cody. Sonny's life was also enriched by numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rochelle Brake, and his parents, Alejandro and Rosa Bueno, along with his mother and father-in-law, Gene and Mona Greeson.
In honor of Sonny's wishes, no memorial service will be held. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to
JW.org, supporting the community and values he held dear. Sonny's legacy of love, artistry, and gentle spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
