Anabelle Schlesinger Obituary

Anabelle Schlesinger, 86, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Med Center Health in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born July 31, 1939 to Kenneth and Marguerite Flewellin and grew up in Shabbona, Illinois. 

Throughout her career she spent many years in the banking and insurance industries before retiring. Anabelle found great joy in life’s simple pleasures: enjoying life with Les, bowling, tending to her flowers, quilting, playing cards and coffee with friends. Her proudest role, however, was that of loving mother and grandmother. 

She will be remembered and loved always by her children, Diane (Scott) Austin, Brian Pfeifer (Donna Harvey), Darla (Rick)Bos; her cherished grandchildren, Sadie Challand, Breanna (Aaron) Lambert, Jeremy (Virginia) Bos, Connor (Katie) Austin, Carson Bos (Sam Sexton), Trevor Pfeifer; and great- grandchildren – Haileigh, Gavin, Hunter and Tahlia; her brother, Kenneth “Butch” (Jane) Flewellin; and three nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leslie Schlesinger. 

A memorial service for the family will be held in the spring at Wyoming Cemetery in Paw Paw, Illinois.
