April McGraw Gonzalez, 37, passed away on June 27, 2024 in Steinhatchee, FL. April was born July 10, 1986 in Gainesville, Florida to Timothy Ray McGraw and Sheila Hurley Bowers.
Mrs. Gonzalez was of the Baptist faith and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she volunteered in the children’s ministry. April was a loving wife and beloved mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed traveling to the Smoky Mountains each year with her family. She liked to make candles and playing games with family and friends. She never met a stranger and loved to give you a big hug whether you needed one or not, and tell you she loved you. She will truly be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Jesse Koon and Charlie Melvin Hurley, Sr., and paternal grandfather Gerald Ray McGraw.
April is survived by her husband of 15 years, Florencio Gonzalez; her children, Hector Gonzalez, Mia Gonzalez, Hunter Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, and Ethan Gonzalez; her dad Timothy McGraw and mother Sheila Bowers; her grandmother Nell Whitley; her brothers Charlie McGraw, Daniel McGraw, and Michael McGraw; her sisters, Rebecca (Brian) Ross, Heather McGraw, Brittany McGraw, Amber McGraw, Jenna McGraw, and Reagan McGraw; Hannah Ross, Dakota McGraw, and Blaine Ross, CJ McGraw and Bray Hartsfield, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Walker officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at New Hope Baptist Church. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Mayo.

April made an impact on me right away, her desire and willingness to share Jesus with strangers was very humbling. More of us should have such a sweet spirit! Even though she sometimes needed help she found a way to always give to others. She will be missed!! Praying for her family and especially her children, may God’s grace surround you all.
