Arlene was the first "Feminist I knew" even though she did not know this..way before Betty Freedian and Gloria Steinhem.
This was 1959ish. She was so independent, managed her life and home, lived with her mom and dad as a caring unit to survive. I never heard her complain...it was the plan!!
She was strong, fashion conscious meaning living at the time to enjoy life. I never ever heard a negative comment from her..always were we will go and enjoy life..A POSSITIVE PERSON THAT ACCEPTED HER LIFE...and did nor look back.
She was inspirational. So loved her mainly because she was real and didn't chastify others because of their beliefs and life style.
ARLENE WAS TRUELY AN ACCEPTANT, COMPASSIONET HUMAN.
This is why I respected her so very much..I could always rely on her to help and give understanding.
Today we commemorate a unique soul that made life fun and compassionate...she brought many souls together.
She is missed and valued..knowing Arlene she would say " Got to go. Taking up to much space and I can't do anymore except take from the world" Arlene is the most benevolent person I have known.
I miss your physical being!!
Always love and compassion.

Bonnie , I´m so sorry for your loss. You´re mom was my mother´s oldest friend, they met when they worked at the telephone company as operators in the late 40s and remained life long friends. Arlene was like a second mom when we were young. I have many fond memories of playing at your house in the village of Fairport
