Arthur Cummings Obituary

Arthur Lawrence Cummings, Sr. passed away on December 18, 2024. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts and raised in Greenville, South Carolina he was the son of Edward Stanton Cummings and Alice Lynch Cummings. He was predeceased by his wife of 76 years Mary Allen Cummings.

He is survived by his children, Arthur Lawerence Cummings, Jr. (Judy), Nancy Cummings Humphries, John Richard Cummings (Patti), Carol Lynch Cummings, and Michael Allen Cummings (Susan); 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Bethel United Methodist Church, and The Adult Learning Center of Spartanburg S.C.

Celebration of Life services will be held by the family on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Rosecrest Retirement Community, 200 Fortress Drive, Inman, SC 29349. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30pm in the Main Entrance Chapel. The Celebration Service will follow at 2:00pm.
