Audrey Elmer Obituary

Audrey Marie Elmer, age 98, of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born in Jackson, Georgia to the late Rupert Washington and Ermine Kitchens Washington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lavar Elmer; her daughters, Marie Elaine Elmer and Cerise Bryant.

Mrs. Elmer is survived by her son, Lyle (Quinell) Elmer; daughter, Faye Powers; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Audrey was a woman who loved her family, and her church. She showed her love through her cooking, and she even knew what everyone at church liked to eat. She took on recipes as her own, usually making the food even better. Audrey enjoyed playing games like Rook, winning often. Her and Lavar owned a dairy farm from 1948 to 1972. They spent many days on the farm, selling milk all throughout the state. After the farm, her and Lavar went on to work more jobs together, never being far apart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 3355 GA-155 N, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
