Barbara Capps Obituary

Barbara Jewel Capps, age 82, of Mulberry, Florida went to be with her Lord on December 9, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida. Barbara was born on October 31, 1942, in Avon Park, Florida, to her loving parents, Harry A. and Frances M. Chadwick (Little). Barbara grew up and graduated from Avon Park Highschool, and lived in Mulberry, Florida for 52 years. She spent her time as a mother and homemaker, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, having lunch with her friends, and writing stories. She had a column in the Mulberry Press called “Barbara’s Bits”. She served her community in her position on The City of Mulberry Board of Planning. 

She is preceded in passing by her beloved Husband John, and her parents. She is survived by her children Michele (Eddie) and David (Melissa), three granddaughters, one grandson, and three great-grandsons. Barbara touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with family receiving friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park, FL. 111 East Circle Street, Avon Park, Florida 33825.
