What can I say about "Bear". I have known him forever and never thought this day would come. He was my friend and I learned so much from him. When I returned from Israel I brought back water from the river Jorden and I got my friend something that I had the pleasure to give to him.. I also anointed him with oil and I will never forget that.
Billy and Bear were always together and they both helped me after my heart surgery. I have spent so much time with both of them at the Hall while I was healing up and I miss Billy and now my heart is aching for Bear. So long my friend, until we meet again on the other side. John

The world just became a little darker. You were a great friend to us both and I'll forever remember the adventures we shared.

So saddened about his loss,Prayers up to his family and friends,He was always welcoming to Me,My Sister,or a guest I had when Visiting the Octagon Hall and Doing the Novice Hunts, I will always cherish his stories about the Hall !!!

He was a super sweet man. He will be forgotten.

My heart absolutely breaks for the loss of Bear but I am beside myself that we missed the visitation and funeral because we got our days mixed up! My love and prayers go out to Twona and all the family and friends who are mourning his loss! You will be deeply missed! Rest easy my friend until we meet again!

Bear was a wonderful person, he saw the light in everyone. He was a very kind soul to me and a very accepting and gracious person. I pray his family has peace and comfort in this tragic time. We went to Church with Bear & Twona at Bethany Ch. of Christ for a while. They were both so sweet. Praying for Twona & All.

We loved Bear, we did several investigations at Octagon house, and he always treated us like family. He will be missed.

Three and a half years ago God blessed me when I was given the honor to volunteer at Octagon Hall with Bear. Bear guided me down a new path in my life. I could listen to his adventures for hours. He taught me to open my mind to some things which I thought were impossible, mostly the odd occurrences at Octagon Hall. I just assumed that he was mistaken or stretching the truth until Bear proved me wrong. Bear was loved by people alive and not alive. Everybody knew who Bear was at the hall even the spirits. Twona, Beth, Issac I am so sorry.

Bear was a great friend, mentor, and investigator. Joey and I enjoyed having him as a part of our team and for his insight, his ideas, his enthusiasm, that big voice of his that I can still hear to this day, and his dedication to the paranormal. His was our Thelma and Louise in one big huggy bear! He was up for whatever crazy idea we threw at him and matched dollar for dollar every piece of equipment we purchased for the team. We loved him so much and could never, ever forget him...he was that special! He will be missed and fondly remembered by every single member on our team and by us!

I wished Bear knew how much he was loved. He has left wonderful memories for many people. I am so happy that I got to spend time with him the past few months. He will be missed so much.

He was such an interesting person and I loved visiting with him at Octagon Hall. I was hoping to go back just to talk with him. He made you feel so welcome and comfortable and like you were part of his family. Condolences to his family. He will be truly missed. He was one of the great ones.

I will always cherish the many great memories of Bear, from the time Beth found the chocolate cow tails in Richwood at Monster Con, to the prayers with my son for his grandmother, to the investigation at the hall. What a legend he is and what a great legacy he leaves behind. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I knew him from Connecting Consciousness zooms and enjoyed seeing him in WV since I’m in Ohio. His huge smile and personality filled the barn there and brought a smile to everyone. Please know he was loved by all CC members who met him and will be greatly missed. May God send you the strength you need to get through each new day without him.

The Lord was ready for you to come home sir but we wasn’t ready to say goodbye!! Rest In Paradise Bear and thank you for your friendship!! I’ll see you again soon!!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. My daughter and I both visited Octagon Hall numerous times and she and I both always enjoyed his stories, time and compassion. He will truly be missed.
