Betty Ruth Collier passed away quietly in her sleep on Oct. 12, 2024. She was born June 16, 1926 in East Whiteland Pennsylvania. She lived almost all of her life in the Berwyn. She married William Collier in 1944 and spent 73 years of marriage with him until his passing. She moved to Charlotte NC in 2018 following his death.
After her sons were both in school, she got a job as a school crossing guard. Later she worked as a Data Clerk for AT&T for almost 30 years and during the gas crisis in the early 70’s she rode her motorcycle to work which amazed her coworkers. She and Bill loved boating and spend several decades on their boat on the Chesapeake Bay. Betty enjoyed driving their smaller boat and loved to show the grandkids how fast it would go. She did feel the need for speed. She was also loved for her sense of humor which she still had at the end. She is survived by her children, David (Pamela) of Charlotte NC and Bruce (Anne, deceased) of Pottstown, Pa along with four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two great -great grandchildren. She was loved by many and we will carry her with us in our hearts.
A viewing will be scheduled at Mauger-Givnish Funeral Home 24 Monument Avenue Malvern PA. at 10:00 on Saturday Oct. 19, 2024.

Betty was an amazing woman and neighbor. I’m very fortunate to have grown up in the house next door to such an incredible woman. We spent many July 4ths together and celebrated several holidays together. Betty had a huge heart and was always thinking of others. The Colliers were amazing people and I’m very glad to have known them.
