Oh Christy , I was so sorry to hear about Shane. He was one of the sweetest kids I ever had the privilege of teaching. I got to see him not long ago when he came to church with Dara. He was just as sweet and cute as ever. I am praying for you and all of his family & friends. He will be truly missed by everyone who’s lives he touched.

Shane was a friend from youth group. He brought laughter to most events he attended. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing.

I’m so so sorry to hear this. Shane was my first love, and the type I can only hope my daughter will experience one day. He and his heart of gold had a way of making everyone feel like a close friend within moments. He was so resilient, funny, caring, and truly joyful. Thanks for all the memories and the immense positive impact you had on me and our friends in our formative years, Shane. Praying for your sweet mama and closest friends and family- you will not be forgotten.

Back years ago I said Christy he a pretty boya he looks just like ya. The eyes and curly hair. and was ruff & busy always wanting to try the next thing she would be worried all the time about getting hurt he would laugh it off. She loved him so much there are no words Lord she need you more than ever please help and be there during the many lonely heartbreaking moments the nights the day time pretty much around the clock hug her comfort her hear her pain her hurt & being scared afraid beyond words just take it just remove it Replace with your love. In Jesus name Amen

one of my best friends from st.louis alison introduced me to shane and cameron back in college.... both of their kind and positive energies made us immediately life long friends. Shane always supported my leap in my passion for music and always gave me real feedback to improve. Going to a festivals will always be our thing and our passion for music connected us. Thank you brother for every memory i can hold onto til we meet in our next life.

I'm sad about my truly great friend who I went to high school with that I miss him.

My sincere condolences to the Smith family and friends. Shane and I worked together in AZ. We shared a passion for food. I was the Chef and he worked as a server/ bartender. Always going above and beyond to ensure his customers were happy. His personality shined bright, always finding humor in situations and cracking a joke. He will be missed by many of us who had the pleasure of working with him and getting to know what a special guy he was. May he rest in peace.

I’ll never forget almost going undefeated our freshman year in football at Houston High School in Germantown near Memphis, TN before you moved to Arizona. You were a great guy man.
