Charles Berger Obituary

     Charles “Chuck” Berger, age 62 of Charles City, passed away on August 20, 2025 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa. A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Spring Valley VFW.

     Charles Wesley Berger, the son oof Robert C. and Frances (Kuhn) Berger, was born on June 19, 1962 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He attended school at Clay Central High School in Royal, Iowa. Chuck worked many jobs including a car mechanic, welding, and carpentry. He was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and working on cars.

     Left to cherish Chuck’s memory are his siblings, Wayne Berger, Pam Sample, Kris Berger, Tony Krieger, Rhiannon Amos, Miranda Schroeder, Bill Berger, Tiffany Berger, and Elizabeth Mescher; daughters, Jessica (Steve) Sullivan, Jennifer (Doug), Tammy (Lance), Ashley (David), and Hailey; six grandchildren; special friends, Jaimie Turbenson, Kenny Turbenson, and Lorene Hickman; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Frances, and grandparents, Erma and Walt Rollie and Charles and Helen Berger.
