Corey Fernandes Brazell transitioned from life to eternal life on November 28, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah, Georgia. He was born on June 18, 1984, to Ceressa Dixon and the late Willie Dixon, Jr. Corey attended Montgomery County High School and graduated from Turner Job Corp in Albany, Georgia. He was a certified welder and forklift driver. At the time of his death, he worked at Chicken of the Sea in Lyons, Georgia.
Corey enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he was teaching his son.
Corey was preceded in death by his father, Willie Dixon, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Savinia Brazell; maternal grandfather, Billy Rawls; paternal grandmother, Ethel Dixon; and paternal grandfather, Willie Dixon, Sr.
Corey leaves behind to treasure his memory his mother, Ceressa Dixon of Mount Vernon, GA; three children: Alayja Nobles of Orlando, Florida, Cornya Brazell and Corey F. Brazell, Jr. of Lyons, Georgia; three siblings: India Dixon and Tonya Dixon of Mount Vernon, Georgia, and
Sonya (Charles) Brown of Cobbtown, Georgia. He also leaves behind six uncles, eleven aunts, two nieces, Katlyn Dixon and Achaia Dixon; and four nephews, Isiah Dixon, T’varius Dixon, Kaleb Tobler, and Legend McArthur. Corey had four special friends, Nicholas Hester, Sr., Eddie Hester, Michael Collins, and Joffery Phillips; two special cousins, Quinton Johnekins of Alamo, Georgia, and Willie Rawls of Jacksonville, Florida; the mother of two of his children, Dana Gay of Lyons, Georgia, and two stepchildren, Emonie Gay and Dushaun Gay; and three grandchildren, Zymir Nobles, Zyna Middleton, and one due in March of 2025.
