It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our loving mother and Grammy, Cynthina (Cindy) Louise Terry. Cindy, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 75. She was surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren.
Cindy was born on November 19, 1949, to Margaret and Homer Peterson of Helena, MT. She was 4th of 9 children and she loved her big chaotic family. Her life began in Helena, MT, but she then moved to Redwood City, CA as a teenager, where a few years later, met her husband and the love of her life, Jeff Terry, where they settled in Gilroy and raised their family.
Cindy was an avid lover of reading, flowers, and spending time with her friends and family. Cindy had a vibrant personality and an enormous heart. Known for her compassionate spirit, Cindy worked for many years in the health care field, dedicating herself to helping others.
Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She leaves behind her beautiful daughters, Leah Terry (Patrick) and Alyson Calhoun (Danny), and seven grandchildren: Hayden, Mia, Emma, Mason, Hunter, Maxson, and Tristin. She also leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews, who loved their Aunt Cindy.
Cindy is survived by her siblings, Jeff Peterson of San Francisco, CA and Connie Moze of Lincoln Hills, CA. She is preceded in death by her brothers John Peterson, Greg Peterson, Guy Peterson, Mark Peterson, Homer Peterson and her sister, Catherine Peterson.
Cindy’s kind and nurturing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
There will be a memorial and celebration of life for Cindy on October 19, 2025, at the VFW Hall in Gilroy, CA at 12pm. We invite you to join us to celebrate her vibrant and beautiful spirit.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Cythia L. Terry.

My Condolences to Leah & Alyson her most devoted daughters and their families. Cindy was my neighbor in Morgan Hill, when our children were young sharing the gate between our yards and all the every days and holidays.
We remained close over the years first separated by towns, and then by states. Cindy is my one California friend that visited me in Florida. We made great memories over the years. I will treasure our final phone call the Saturday before her passing. She was cheerful as always and we reminised all the good times and said a prayer. She will be a treasure in friendship to me always.
Love, Rachelle

Cindy was my sister in law and I loved her dearly. She was in the room with me and Greg when I delivered my son Sean Peterson because she worked for Dr Hoff. . We kept in touch through the years here and there but I always felt a great connection to her. I know she loved her daughters and her whole family. May you rest in paradise and I will see you again someday.
