Danny Fisher Obituary

DANNY GENE FISHER, 71, of Bastian, VA, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, and was welcomed into his eternal home.

He was born November 26, 1952, in Giles County, to Dan (“Duney”) Bailey, Jr. & Hazel Marie Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Margaret Ann Estep Fisher, a brother and two sisters.

Danny loved playing music and singing for the Lord. He loved attending church, visiting the sick, praying with and for people. Some of his hobbies were building houses and tinkering on or with anything that he thought he could fix. He was always willing to help anyone that needed it. A lot of his life, he put others before himself.

In addition to his wife of 15 years, Marjorie Stiltner Fisher, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle & Robbie Albert, of Max Meadows and Chrissy Stiltner and Anthonie Hodge, of Bastian; three sons, Kevin & Selina Dent, of Bastian, Samuel Dent, of Bland, and Bryan Dent and Ariana Hall, of Austinville; 14 grandchildren (one of which held a special place, Nevaeh Albert); two aunts, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Philip Earls, Joe Clemons and Danny Dent.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Rev. Dennis McLemore and John Thornsberry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Bland American Legion Post # 20 and the Bland VFW # 7969. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until service time, 1:00 P.M.
