Danny L. Schrempp, 71, of Mascoutah, IL, born April 24, 1953, in Belleville, IL, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, IL.
Danny was a lifelong employee for the city of Mascoutah, starting as an operator for the powerplant, working as a lineman, and retired as the director for the Public Works Department. He was a United States Army veteran. Danny was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, American Legion Post 292, Moose Lodge 815, and the 700 Bowling Club in Mascoutah, IL. He was the president of the Greater Carlyle Bowling Association and on Nov. 4, 2017, Danny was inducted into the Greater Carlyle USBC Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Danny also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and classic cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester E. “Bud” and Dorothy R., nee Mueller, Schrempp.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A., nee Groennert, Schrempp; three children, Bernadette (Hank) Schrempp Weilbacher, Kirby (Matthew) Preston, Todd (Kelly) Mauck; three grandchildren, Ethan Martin, Valerie Bailey, Henry Weilbacher IV; one sister, Joan (Robert) Cook; one brother, Ricky (Ricki Jo) Schrempp; niece and goddaughter, Alaina Swanner; three nephews, Tim, Mark, and Brian Cook; also survived by numerous cousins.

VISITATION: From 9 AM to 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL.
FUNERAL: A funeral service will be held at 10 AM SATURDAY, OCT. 5, 2024, at St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, IL with Rev. Cherie Hambleton officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
