Diana Morin Obituary

Diana Lynn Morin, 63, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She had become suddenly ill weeks prior, was brought there to assess what could be done and was watched over by her three daughters until she took her last breath.

She was born on Saturday, August 26, 1961, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wl, the daughter of Albert and Darlene (Whitten) Schilter. She spent her early and middle childhood in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin with her parents, brothers and sisters. She has shared many stories of Santa arriving by helicopter, her Dad bringing home what he hunted for dinner, and being glued to her mothers leg. Her teenage and young adult years were spent traveling with her mother all the way to California.

There she was married and had her children Amy, Desiree, and Lisa. Her children were her pride and joy. She moved with them to Wisconsin in 1992 as a strong single mother with very little. She worked for everything she had and showed her daughters how to be strong, smart, and independent. She was a caregiver throughout most of her career and was able to retire for a bit before she passed.

Diana enjoyed music, fun, bands, her children and grandchildren. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. She taught all of them that life is a party. Dance all the time if you want to. Life is too short not to have fun. Life is also too important to stay mad or sad. Keep people in your life who make you happy. She taught them to keep family close, and she was so proud that her girls stayed close to her.

She is survived by her children Amy Daily, Desiree (Kevin Ryan) Morin, Lisa (Jason) Bennin; grandchildren Daphne, Evelyn, Isaac; Layla, Marley, Willow; Hazel; brother Donald Schilter; sisters Debra Perkins, and Dot Vander Maazen. She is preceded in death by her mother Darlene Whitten; her father Albert Schilter; and her brother Daniel Schilter.

Diana's wishes were for her remains to be cremated and spread by her three children privately so that they could have a space to visit and think about her. She did not want a public gathering. There will be a memorial plaque placed in the future in honor of her. Others may use that space if they wish to pay tribute to her. Details of that will be shared once it is brought to fruition.
