Dear McCarville Family:
Earlier today I spoke with Phil Foster, who told me that he was at your mother's services. This was the first I knew of her passing. My deepest condolences.
Your mother absolutely showered me with kindness during my years so long ago with Bridget, showing me love and support that I'll always cherish and never forget. What a sweet, thoughtful, and warm person. As much as I was smitten about Bridget back then, I may need to confess how much I loved both your mom and dad. Together, with all of you, they modeled everything a family should be about. May she rest in peace, a life so well lived.
Sincerely,
Michail T. Curro

My Sweetest memory of Doris is seating next to her eating Bridget's Birthday cake at Whittier pickleball park in Royal Oak. It was a beautiful evening and we laughed and had so much fun. We talked about her life and simply soaked up the night. A very special memory.

Heaven gained the most wonderful angel in Doris McCarville. She was the most loving, kind, genuine, and beautiful soul this world has ever seen. I will miss her beautiful spirit. She had the most contagious smile that filled every room she entered with an incredible amount of warmth. I will miss every single one of our phone calls and chats. I will also miss our special days we spent together shopping, eating, visiting, and then watching movies (usually Hallmark inspired;) all night long. She never missed a chance to send a heart warming card or message to brighten my day. To be loved by Doris was an amazing gift I will cherish forever. Until we meet again, dear Doris, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. *My heart goes out to the entire McCarville and O'Haire clans as you all celebrate the life and love of dear Doris McCarville. Much love and many blessings to all of you.

I will always hold a fond memory of attending Doris's and Rogers wedding in 1961. As a young kid, we were allowed to attend the ceremony and reception. It was great to see them enjoy the day, and for us youngsters to be able to get a piece of wedding cake! Doris always had a kind heart and a pleasant word to say whenever I saw her. I will miss her smile.

Doris was a quiet, unassuming, kind lady. My fondest memory of Doris was the time she and cousin Tom gave Audra and I the grand tour of Detroit via the People Mover! Such a fun afternoon. Sending my deepest condolences to all of the family.

Such a kind and gentle woman. An integral fixture in the Irish community. You could almost always count on Doris making an appearance, whether accompanied by her twin, Nora, or another member of her close-knit family. The old Irish adage, "never met a stranger," was probably written at some point or another to describe this petite, soft spoken woman with the heart of a giant. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will carry on. Godspeed to you, Doris!

Doris was such a sweet and fun loving lady! I always loved every minute I spent with her! I have very fond memories of her along with her beloved husband, Roger! I remember Doris and the whole McCarville clan being at the dedication for the Roger and Doris McCarville Family Center for Easter Seals! I remember how her grandchildren were doing Irish step dancing during the celebration! Doris will truly be missed!! Now both she and Roger are together again in heaven!
