Doug Patrick Obituary

Vaughn Douglas (Doug) Patrick, 81 years, born August 31, 1944, to O.D. and Leona (Warren) Patrick, died October 4, 2025, at his home in Reeds Spring, MO.


Doug is survived by his wife, Joyce Patrick; daughters, Sherry Lockard and husband, Kenny of Reeds Spring, Teresa Borgman and husband, Dusty of Reeds Spring and Kristie Chase and husband, Tracy of Reeds Spring; grandchildren, Brandy Corneau, Sara Clevenger and husband, Jason Elliott, Colton Borgman, Mikala Whitworth and husband, Cody, Devon Chase and wife, Emily and Kasey Chase; ten great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Doug was preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Leona Patrick; one brother, Kyle Patrick and one grandson, Douglas Joe Clevenger, Jr.


Doug was born in Reeds Spring, MO on Wilson Creek. He graduated RSHS in 1962 and married his sweetheart Joyce Dotson in September 1962. They were married 63 years.


He served as the fire chief of Reeds Spring in the early 1980’s. He was a prominent businessman and served in the City’s Betterment Association. He helped start the Senior Citizens Housing Project in Reeds Spring and served on the board for many years.


He owned and operated Table Rock Supermarket and Table Rock Bass Pro Shop in Reeds Spring along with his brother, Kyle and sister-in-law, Donna for over 30 years. Doug was a professional meat cutter.


He was a Tomato Farmer growing nearly 4500 plants a year selling out of his home-based produce business and commercially to many large supermarkets along with his wife, Joyce. 


He loved to hunt and took many hunting trips to various locations including, Alaska, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming and Canada. He was an avid fisherman who loved to cast a line with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.


He played baseball and earned the nickname “Slugger” by many of his friends.


He was well known and respected and will be missed by many.


Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, MO with Denny McCrorey officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.

I was so blessed to be able to visit with my Uncle Doug on September 24. He will always be remembered for taking me fishing and just being a good man. I chaporoned when he and Aunt Joyce went on dates. A long time ago. You will always be loved and in our hearts!

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of such a good man. He was a great friend to so many and I know he was a phenomenal husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. The memories span back so many years ago for me. Those were the good old days.

Doug had the best sense of humor and was a wonderful man. Heaven just gained an amazing soul.
