Edward Szopa Obituary

Edward “Ed” J. Szopa, 66, of Manchester, NH, passed away on December 15, 2024, after an acute illness.

The son of Stanley and Virginia Szopa, he was born on October 21, 1958 and was raised in Manchester.

He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, Class of 1976, where he was a member of the band.

Ed was a successful Automotive Technician and worked at Sears for many years. Later, he was the Conference Center Coordinator for Facilities Management at Elliot Hospital.

Ed and his wife of forty-four years, Melanie, raised their children, Megan and Craig, and enjoyed supporting them in all the activities and sports in which they participated.

Ed loved fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, kayaking, and watching Nascar races. Ed and Melanie enjoyed frequent trips to the mountains and lakes of NH. Ed most enjoyed the family trips to the Great North Woods. Ed felt blessed to spend time with his grandchildren Kendra and Carson.

Services: Calling hours are Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4 to 6 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH. 

A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM.
