Frances Rangel

Frances Rangel, of Edna, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born in Edna, Texas on January 12, 1965, to the late Ignacio Rangel, Sr. and Lupe Figirova Rangel.

Frances worked as Assistant Store Director at Brookshire Brothers in Ganado for many years. She was a loving sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed. 

Frances is survived by her brothers, Ignacio Rangel, Jr. (Silvia) and Isidro Rangel; nieces, Devin Whittley and Heather Perez (Anthony); nephews, Heath Bednarz (Kari), Travis Rangel, Hondo Rangel, and Houston Rangel; Great-Nieces and Nephews, Kaleb Rangel, Karson Rangel, Austen Perez, Annleigh Perez, Harlie Bednarz, Lucas Bednarz, and Ava Tessier. She is also survived by her furry baby, Pistol.  

She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio and Lupe Rangel, and her brother, Hilario Rangel (Renee). 

Pallbearers will be Heath Bednarz, Hondo Rangel, Houston Rangel, Joe Figirova, Anthony Perez, and Joe Garza.

Honorary Pallbearers are Travis Rangel, Kaleb Rangel, Karson Rangel, and Austen Perez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m., in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel in Edna, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., also in the Oaklawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Latin American Cemetery also in Edna, Texas. Pastor Ruben Castillo will be officiating.
