Gerald Brunette Obituary

On the morning of October 3, 2024, Gerald “Sk8ter” Brunette was found passed away of natural causes in his home in Gillette, Wyoming. He was 66 years of age.

 Jerry was born in Glenrock, Wyoming on November 21, 1957, to parents Tony and Donna Brunette. After graduating from Glenrock Highschool in 1977, he immediately began work on his Wyoming Apprenticeship for the electrical trade. He was a Sparky his entire adult working life. He mentored countless apprentices throughout his 47-year career.

“Sk8” as he was affectionately known as to family and friends enjoyed many hobbies. From tinkering on his Trans Am to his numerous home remodel projects including his full working bar. He was an avid Las Vegas Raider fan and followed them closely throughout his life. He enjoyed above all else hosting get togethers at his basement mancave, for his numerous friends and family. Including his pride and joy three Grandsons, who adored his model muscle car collection.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Donna Brunette. He is survived by his father, Tony Brunette; stepmother, Jerrilynn Brunette; brother Jim Brunette, sister Debbie Brunette; daughter, Aleece Hoekstra; grandsons, Presten Hoekstra, Paxten Hoekstra, and Parker Hoekstra. He is also survived his longtime girlfriend, Leahmae Haynes and countless friends who he reached in significant ways throughout his truly meaningful life.

 A celebration of life is being planned for all friends and family and will be announced soon.
