Henry Young (1947-2024) was born in
Statesboro, Georgia to parents Frank and Flora Young along with his three siblings, Frank, Arthur, and Mildred Young. He then moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where he made his home.
He was a prideful, ambitious, and hard-working individual who always put the needs of others before his own. He started a trucking company where he drove trucks and got the nickname "Shorty". Additionally, he worked for the MBTA for twenty-three years and three months before retiring.
After retiring he bought a boat and spent a lot of time fishing. Henry's personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he encountered. His passing will be mourned deeply by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Jermaine Young, a daughter-in-law, Courtney Young, daughters, Vicky Marshall, Cherelle Crawford, and Flora Young, along with his eleven grandchildren. His legacy will live on for generations to come.
The funeral service for Mr. Henry Young, will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, November 8, 2024, in the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
