Jacob Spears Obituary

Jacob "Jake" Michael-Hutton Spears, 16, of Arkansas City passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. Cremation has been effected. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Northwest Community Center in Arkansas City.
Jake was born September 21, 2004, to Terry R Spears Jr., and Claudia J. Hutton in Arkansas City. He attended schools in Sedan and Arkansas City, where he was currently enrolled as a Junior at Arkansas City High School.
Jake had a passion for Legos. He could build anything with them, but he especially liked constructing model and functional guns. Jake also enjoyed kayaking, trains, and camping. Jake was known for sleeping in his hammock while camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He touched the lived of all those who knew him.
Survivors include his mother Claudia Hutton of Arkansas City; father Terry Spears of Sedan; siblings Clark Wynn, Caden Spears, Sara Spears all of Arkansas City; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, and two uncles.
A memorial has been established for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home & Crematory.
