Jan Ziegler

Eunice Janette “Jan” Ziegler, 81, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at home.

She was born November 29, 1942 in Sistersville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Russell Judge and Evelyn Pittman Judge. A sister, Wilma, preceded her in death.

Jan was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps in California. She stayed active in veterans’ affairs until her death. After her service she moved back home to Ohio.

She spent most of her professional career as an administrative assistant for American Electric Power Corporation. After retirement she moved to Wilmington to be with her son.

Jan loved to read and attend church. However, she loved her new friends on Regency Drive most of all. She considered her new community family. They showed love and kindness she had never known.

She is survived by four brothers and six sisters and numerous nieces and nephews, and her son, Christopher Judge. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Waters officiating.
