Jerome N. Bink of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, age 96, passed away on October 7, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Ann: his son Mark, daughters Maria, Anna Marie, Laure, and Rosemary, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Jerome was a devoted husband and father. He was a kind and generous man whose greatest pleasure was helping friends and family. Jerome was a natural “handyman” skilled in construction, remodeling, woodworking, plumbing, and electrical work. He enjoyed taking advantage of summer and winter activities at the family’s second home in Woodruff.
Jerome spent his childhood with 7 siblings on a farm in Port Washington. He enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces during the Korean War and served as a wire chief in Germany. He returned to Milwaukee after the war and had a 40-year career as a manufacturing engineer for Eaton Corporation. For many years, Jerome volunteered as an Auxiliary Police Officer in Thiensville while working full-time. Twenty years of Jerome’s retirement was spent volunteering in the ER at St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital. Jerome was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of Lumen Christi parish.
The family would like to thank both the Brighton Hospice team, and the staff at Lumia for the wonderful care provided during the last 9 months.
Services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2700 W. Mequon Rd. Mequon, WI.. A Memorial Visitation will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM, followed by inurnment at Lumen Christi Cemetery.
