John Gathings Obituary

Mr. John Warner Gathings, 55, passed away Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, while at home.

Mr. Gathings was born in Cheraw, a son of James Warner Gathings and the late, Johnsie Davis Gathings. He enjoyed his work with Anderson Brass and would help anyone in need. John also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his friends.

Surviving is his father and stepmother, James & Betty Gathings and a sister, Martha Jean Gathings.

He was preceded in death by his mother. 

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 on Saturday morning, January 18th, 2025, from The Gathering Place Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Tom McCrea officiating. The family welcomes friends anytime at their residence, 1006 Pineneedle Rd., Hartsville.
