Judy Jones-Rogers Obituary

Judy Carolyn Jones Rogers, a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and a devoted Servant of God, peacefully departed this life on October 13,2024 Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charolotte NC at the age of 69.
Judy was born November 4, 1954 in Florence SC, as the cherished daughter of Fletcher and Annie Margaret Jones. She was married to James Roy Rogers. Judy completed her early education at Wilson High School, a proud member of class of 1972. She begun her professional career at the Boy Scouts of America and later to Bosie Cascade of Florence SC. During her tenure there, Judy was relocated to Charlotte NC and continued as an Administrative Accountant with Frito Lay Incorporated, until retirement. Judy realized her interest in the corporate world was not over and was blessed with the opportunity to work with a wonderful staff at Capital MC in Charlotte NC, where she was received more as family.
Judy's life was deeply intertwined with her faith and service, which started at an early age with Savannah Grove Baptist Church in Effingham SC, under the leadership of Rev. Dr Ralph Canty where she received a firm foundation which would help her in her next spiritual assignment, which led her to Life Center International Ministries in Charlotte NC. Judy was a dedicated and faithful member as she continued to grow in her spiritual development through the teachings and guidance of her spiritual father and mother, Apostle Terrell and Elder Susan Murphy. She served as Ministry Steward with H.O.P.E(Having Our Purposed Evolve) Ministry Team with the leadership of Elder Gloria Mack. She was a prayer warrior and great teacher. Previously, she served with the Usher and Greeters Ministry and was always a beacon of light to everyone that encountered her. She served alongside the 4Runnder Student Ministry with younger Kingdom Seed children. Judy also served with City Dive, Inc to support the Westside Coalition, impacting many lives during outreach efforts. The firm foundation received in her early life prevail and manifested in her later life.
Judy's legacy continues through her surviving family Sons: Brian (Sharickah) Rogers, Atlanta GA, and Anthony (Ceara) Rogers, Charlotte NC, Brother: Bruce (Mary)Jones, Atlanta GA, Son In Law: Jerrell Dumas, charlotte NC, Grandsons: Canaan, Caleb, & AJ, Granddaughter: Callie. Sister in Laws, Deloris Franks, Yvonne (Barney) Dailey, Mattie Rogers, Pam (Tim) Lane, Brother in Laws: Sam Rogers, Earnest Rogers, Gordona Penny (Debbie) Rogers Lawayne Pete (Diane) Rogers, Keith Rogers. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with special Neice Nell Franks, God Daughters Rukiya Thomas and Lamecia Eaddy, lifelong Best Friends Toni Lewis and Hazel Hill, special cousins: Ronnie Wilson of CA, Julie Covington Brown of Conway SC, and Irma Wlson Florence SC. God Sisters: Rosa (Benny) Mullins, Jannie (Samuel) McClain, Gracie (Nathaniel) Myers, Diane Eagleton, Annie McAllister, Mary Ann (Eric) Brunson.
