Julie Scott Obituary

Julie Scott of Kimberling City passed away on Oct.25 2025 at the age of 68.

Julie wore a lot of different hats throughout her 68 years; seamstress, sister, night auditor, daughter, schoolbus seatcover maker, front desk, friend, wife, aunt, grandma, great grandma, mother and many more.

Sewing was her main passion. She would make outfits, fabric books, quilts, pillowcases, really anything you can imagine she could make. She was amazing. Every year for christmas she would make p.j.s for her family.

Until it became too much for her to maintain, she always had a garden. Some will remember the veritable forest that was her front porch. You could literally not see the road when sitting on the porch. Maybe because she was such a generous and caring person she could care for and even bring back to life any plant her youngest could darn near kill. Her oldest has inherited her green thumb and is well on her way to a forest of her own. 

Julie was a strong and loving mother to her daughters. Always there when you needed her. 

She enjoyed crafting, floating the Buffalo river, Mary Englebreit, bird watching (she always knew all the names), hummingbirds, really all animals but especially cats, boat rides and of course plants.

Though she has left us to return to God. She will forever be remembered by all the people whose lives she's touched throughout her life.

Those left to honor her include her mother Barbara Fulmer, two daughters: Samantha Tolbert, and Lacey Scott. Five grandchildren Michelle, Mckinzee, Vivian, Olliee "Billee" and Declan. Three great grandchildren Malcom Freya and Marvi. Two brothers Neal and J.R. Two sisters Jeannie and Christine, nieces nephews, and many friends.

Julie's celebration of life will be held at the Boathouse on Lake Springfield at 2312 Lake Springfield Park Rd, Springfield, MO 65804 on Thursday Nov. 20th 2025 from 11:30am to 2:30pm. Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, MO.
