Katherine Dugas Obituary

A Celebration of Life visitation and service for Katherine Dugas, 66, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Tuesday evening, November 5, 2024, at the First Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. with the service officiated by Pastor Jered Thomas. Services are being arranged by Miguez Funeral Home.

Kathy was born on September 17, 1958, in Jennings to Thomas Gene Guidry and Ethel Meaux Richard. She worked as a manager in retail and food services. Kathy was outspoken, loving, creative, caring and one tough ole broad and she made it known.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy LeBlanc, Windy (Ernest) Hebert, and Dwight (John) Dugas; sister, Dana (Arthur) LeBlanc; brother, Bobby (Della) Guidry; six grandchildren, Jade (Chris) Price, Sarena LeBlanc, Brandon (Felise) Bourgeois, Lexi LeBlanc, Ayden LeBlanc and Kadin Vincent; six great grandchildren, Lexie, Isiah, Elijah, Montgomery and Finlee; numerous nieces and nephews, her bonus grandchild, Danielle Lopez and many others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Otis Ferguson, her parents, Ethel Richard and Thomas Guidry; her brother Dennis Guidry and his partner, Mitchel Brazael and her grandparents.
