My grandpa was someone I looked up to, I found my passion for healthcare through his work in disaster relief. Growing up every summer my sister and I would pay a visit to Pentwater and be able to spend time on the lake on the boat or at Mears state park. I remember when he took me out driving when I had just gotten my permit and I was so nervous because it was the first time I had driven without my parents or driving instructor. Summertime with my Grandparents in Pentwater is always going to be a treasure chest full of memories. And I will miss the times I got to spend with him and loathe the ideas of him not being here to see his great grandchildren or watch his granddaughters walk down the aisle. Forever your “pole stander” - Gabrielle
