Kenneth Diamond Glover, born to the honorable Nathan Glover and Myrtle Glover on August 21, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and artistry. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, cherished by all who knew him.

Kenneth’s early years were marked by his deep intellectual curiosity and a profound passion for music. He attended Indiana University and Roosevelt College, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. His musical talent was extraordinary—he was an accomplished trombonist, pianist, and guitarist, and he wrote and composed many original pieces that reflected his unique artistic vision.

Beyond his musical gifts, Kenneth was a dedicated family man and father figure. He was particularly close to his youngest niece, Randez, whom he lovingly supported and cared for. Kenneth’s commitment to service extended beyond his family. He had a lifelong career in law enforcement, starting as a correctional officer at the Indiana House of Correction in Westville for 10 years before spending 25 years as a police officer for the City of Chicago. His work in law enforcement was a testament to his unwavering dedication to public safety and his desire to make a difference in his community.

Kenneth’s commitment to service and his involvement in civic activities further illustrated his belief in giving back to his community. His infectious spirit and genuine kindness left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Rhonda and Carol; his brother Charles; his nieces, Andaiye, Jaime, and Randez; his nephew, Fulton; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jaiden, Mariah, Savannah, Jacob, and his namesake, Deveron Kenneth; and a host of friends and extended family. Kenneth’s warm presence, musical talents, and unyielding dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed.

As we remember Kenneth, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life defined by creativity, service, and most of all, love. May his memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kenny was a longtime friend that I grew up with while we lived in Gary Indiana. We both liked on the same block and the last time I saw him he was a Chicago Police officer, I am so sad to hear of his passing and my sincere condolences to his family.

My uncle was a Warrior. Both inside the household and outside the household. He serviced his community as an officer and was a protector and provider for our family. He can never be replaced. His legacy will live on through and will forever be missed. XOXO Jaime cakes ( that's what he called me)
