John Mroz Obituary

John Mroz, 84, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 15, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Stanley Mroz and Margaret (Still) Mroz. John was an incredibly hard worker - even when diagnosed with bone cancer, he did not let it slow him down. He was kind to everyone he met, and he would do anything for the ones he loved. John loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was always telling stories of his past - which will always be remembered. He enjoyed collecting war memorabilia, watching documentaries/movies based on war, and going to flea markets. He was well known for his dance moves to "Johnny B. Goode" at all the weddings. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, swimming, and mowing the lawn. John was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Michaelina "Micki" (Spano) Mroz. John was survived by his children John Mroz (Wendy), Benjamin Mroz (Loredana), Michaelina Mroz, and Maria DiMatteo (Tony); sister Janis and brother Michael; grandchildren Tiffany, Analisa, Santino, Dash, Lily, Kelsey, Isabella, and Anthony; and great grandchildren Mason and Hudson. John was predeceased by his sisters Anna May and Doris; brother Billy;and grandson Kyle. John was a long time member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at St Paul's Lutheran Church (1809 Hoffmansville Rd, Sassmansville PA 19472) with Pastor Matthew Fenney officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday January 2, 2026 at 10:30 am-11:00 am.
