Lawrence Rozario Obituary

Lawrence Rozario, a devoted husband, father, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Vernon Hills, Illinois, at the age of 88.

Born on September 21, 1937, in Bangladesh to Carlie Anthony Rozario and Catherine Rozario, Lawrence lived a life rooted in faith, family, and tradition. A devout Catholic, he began each day with the Bible and never missed a Sunday Mass, embodying a quiet but unwavering spiritual devotion that touched all who knew him.

Outside of his faith and family, Lawrence had a passion for the outdoors and especially enjoyed the thrill and challenge of hunting wild boar. His stories, wisdom, and strength will be remembered and cherished by all whose lives he enriched.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife, Shelin Gomes; his son, Linto Rozario; his daughters, Pauline (Shymol) Gomes, Sheela (Eric) Gomes, and Saima (Alaur) Rahman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlie Anthony Rozario and Catherine Rozario.

Visitation will be held Friday October 17, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church 236 US-45, Indian Creek, IL.  Funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM.

His legacy of love, devotion, and integrity lives on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

A life well lived, a soul now at peace.
