Leigh Russell Obituary
Leigh Anna Russell, age 54, life partner of Lisa Walker, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. Leigh was born April 6, 1970 in Memphis, TN to the late Robert Graham Russell and Janice McElroy Russell.
Leigh was of the Christian faith. She attended Briarcrest Christian School and Bluegrass Community Technical College. Leigh had an exciting career as a Truck Driver, and after being diagnosed with cancer, she left the job she loved to become a warrior, battling her disease for over 2 years. Leigh enjoyed music and playing guitar. Her favorite sports were volleyball, basketball and golf.
Including her life partner Lisa, Leigh was survived by her sister, Kimberly Russell Nichols and her husband Mark of Collierville, TN; her brother, Steve Russell and his wife Shelly of Sardis, MS; four grandchildren, Makayla Smith, Morgan Smith, Alyssia Reynolds and Kyleigh Reynolds; three nephews, Stephen Russell, Jr., Andrew Russell and Austin Nichols; two nieces, Natale Nichols-Buerkle and Ashley Nichols.
No public services are scheduled. Upon Leigh’s wishes cremation was chosen.
