Lillie Gray Obituary
Lillie "Marie" Gray of Katy, Texas went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2024. She was 98 years old and ready to be with her loved ones in Heaven.
Born on July 16, 1926, in Kenedy, Texas, Marie was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Bingham and Madie Andrews Bingham. Marie grew up in the Graford area where she met and married George Locker Gray.
Marie truly loved to garden, winning numerous Yard of the Month awards. She and George were beautiful dance partners and could have easily won Dancing with the Stars in their day. Marie loved to read and write short stories as well as oil paint. She was very creative.
Marie most loved being with her loved ones and sharing stories. She had a good sense of humor and used it frequently.
Marie is survived by her sister: Betty Barnhart; grandsons: Stephen Gray, Justin Gray, Richard Gray and his wife Tamara; daughter-in-law: Susan Gray; and great-grandson: Briton Gray.
A small graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Oak Glen Cemetery in Jack County, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of McMillan Satterwhite Funeral Home, 1501 Highway 380 Bypass, Graham, Texas, 76450.
