Linda Kay (Johnson) Jay was born on May 21, 1951, and passed away on October 18, 2025 at her home in Reeds Spring, MO.
A Reeds Spring native, Linda grew up, married, and raised a family in the area. Anyone that knew her could see what a hard worker and devoted family member she was. Linda loved to hunt and fish. Deer season was one of her favorite times of the year. She would prepare for the week in the deer woods by cooking large batches of goodies so that everyone that joined in would be well fed when they regrouped to share their hunting tales.
Linda lived on a farm on HH Hwy where she and her family did everything from raising cows to growing gardens. Along with her hunting and growing talents, she loved to can and preserve food. She loved nothing better than to share with others and it made her happy to know that those she loved were provided for. Linda had an unmatched work ethic. No matter what was going on in her life she always showed up and gave whatever she strived to do 110%.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jay, infant daughter, Angela Jay, young son, Clinton Jay, father, Alvis Johnson, mother, Rena Johnson, step-mother, Elsie Johnson, brother, Lonnie Johnson, brother, Rocky Johnson, and grandson, Justice Jay.
She is survived by her son, Scott Jay and wife Karen, step-son, Keith Jay and wife LaDonna, step-daughter, Carol Barbee, sister, June Ward and husband Joe Bill and sister-in-law, Jana Johnson, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to list.
A visitation will be held at Stumpff's Funeral Home in Kimberling City, MO on October 23, 2025 from 5pm-7pm.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Growing up in our area, it seems that I knew Linda from some of my very first memories. She was always so kind and had a smile for everyone.
Linda's obituary certainly described her perfectly.
God bless you and your family.
