Of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, loved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died on November 9, 2024 joining her beloved late husband, Ron, in Eternal Life. Peggy was born on June 9, 1934 in Akron, Ohio to Walter and Carmen Green.
After graduating from the University of Akron, Peggy moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1962 with her two sons. She was a Milwaukee public school teacher throughout her career, touching countless lives with a patient and encouraging hand. She was a passionate supporter of civil rights and women’s equality. Her wide-ranging interests included travel, baking, and nature (especially birds). She loved hosting family events, cheering on the Packers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. With her husband Ron, she enjoyed an active retirement filled with adventure and joy.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Ronald "Ron" Patros, her parents, her stepson Dan Patros and her stepdaughter Jeannette Springer. She is survived by her brother John Green; sons Chris (Tammy) Twining and Steve (Tanja) Twining; stepchildren Cindy (Eric) Baeder and Doug (Colleen) Patros; and daughter-in-law Ann Patros; grandchildren Josh Patros, Nickie (Dan) Roberts, Nathan Patros, Elliot (Caroline Miller) Patros, Alissa Sobtzak, Clayton (Hannah) Patross; Erica Franke and Erin Franke; great grandchildren Zack Patros, Avery Roberts, Naomi Ladoen, Kaylin Roberts, Rowan Patros, Eleanor Sobtzak, Kaia Patross, Calvin Sobtzak, and Nova Patross.
The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice for their care of Peggy.
A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held at Milwaukee Catholic Home Chapel, 2462 Prospect Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211, on Saturday, November 23, 2024. A Christian Service will take place at 11:00AM, with a reception to immediately follow.
