David, Barb and Families, our deepest condolences at this difficult time.

What alot of great times and memories I have of Majorie and family. Thank you for that. May you rest in peace.

i so wanted to come to the visitation and the funeral, but at 95 the legs do not stand or walk well. We had such a wonderful time with Marjorie and Phil in Alaska and were even at the hospital to welcome Julee to the world. I always said that Marj and Philip were the only couple we knew who were able to save money on a military man's pay in Alaska as it was such an expensive place to live. Marjorie baked all their bread and cooked from scratch. We had a huge garden and anything in it that we didn't need for canning or freezing, Marj salvaged to can or freeze for their larder. She also could utilize our overflow of milk and cream, So, they lived well and still saved money for their future farming in Iowa. They loved coming to our Alaska farm and we loved having them come. They were always willing to help if there was work to be done and we truly appreciated that.
I sent a memorial to St. Jude's in Marjorie's name. And, I send my love and sympathy to the family.

This is so sad. She will be missed so much by her family. Her legacy of her famous cookies will be forever remembered as well as her deep kindness. My sympathies to her families.

What a wonderful happy person Marge was when ever we saw her. Always so caring and kind! And the cookies and cakes were exceptional! Marge was a treat! I am sure she will be missed. My sympathy to her family. She was grand! Marcia

I have such great memories of Margie and Phil on their farm as a young girl, and getting the chance to be with my sister.

Marjorie was always willing to help at church by baking her awesome rolls and cookies at fund activities. She enjoyed company and would recall years past to visit about. She was a great lady and will be missed by many.

Oh, those cookies, she was always willing to share with the Emmetsburg Library staff. And she did Love to read.

Praying for her and family. I don't know exactly who she is; but, I went to Cylinder HIgh School and I believe the Solberg's went there, also?

A holiday doesn't pass without our family reminiscing about " Mrs.Solberg's homemade rolls." When our Marines (Jess n Will) were in Iraq, they received Mrs.Solberg's rolls to share with their buddies. Thanksgiving turkeys covered with tailfeathers of brightly colored frosting THICKER than the sweet cookie underneath. Seeing her big SMILE n her flour covered apron when she met us at the door for pick up. What a great lady.
May your memories be as rich n pleasant as our's. She loved showing us pictures of you all. Devoted to her family, friends n baking- now may she rest in peace. We love you. ♥ Maureen n Joel n family
